Child Rights You

Our office is located at Jb 11 B in the Khirki Extension area of Malviya Nagar. If you have ever been to this part of New Delhi, you know it can be a bit of a maze with all the narrow streets and the constant activity. We are right in the thick of it, which actually helps us stay connected to what is happening. The space we have is purely for work. It is where we sit down to plan our projects and handle all the paperwork that comes with trying to help kids. It is a regular building, nothing like those tall glass offices you see in the newer parts of the city. We have rooms filled with folders, and there are always notes and lists taped to the desks. Sometimes the power goes out or the street outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard, but that is just life in Delhi. We have people coming in and out all day, from staff members to folks from the community who have something to share with us. We do not spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders; we are more concerned with getting through the tasks we have set for the day. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but we have a good group here who just gets on with it. We usually stay until the markets nearby start to wind down for the night.
