Chelsea Mills

You can find Chelsea Mills over in Tughlakabad Extension. We are situated at 64/4 in Galino-9, which is part of the Rz block. New Delhi-19 is a crowded place, and our street is no different. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you have to be careful when two cars try to pass each other. We’ve been working out of this space for quite a while now. It’s not a large facility, but we make the most of the square footage we have. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and work tables. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. The noise from the street usually filters in, so you hear the vegetable sellers and the kids playing outside while we work. It keeps us connected to the neighborhood, I suppose. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to answer phones with a script. Usually, whoever is closest to the door or the phone just handles it. It’s a very manual process here. We deal with things as they come. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to move everything out of the way to do it. It’s a real, lived-in workspace. We just focus on getting through the day's orders and keeping things moving along. Sometimes the rain makes the street muddy, but we just put down some cardboard and keep going until the work is done. It’s a simple life here in the extension and we just take it one day at a time.
