We are based out of Plot No. 7 in the K.S. Estate, which is right off M.B. Road in the Sai-Dula-Jaib area. It’s an industrial patch, so there are always trucks and tempos moving around the estate. Our building is a solid, functional space where we handle all the food processing. Inside, it’s all about the production line. There’s a constant hum from the refrigeration units and the packing machines. We wear uniforms and caps because that’s just how it has to be when you work with food. The office part is just a few rooms near the front where we keep the records. It’s often noisy and smells like spices or cooked meat depending on what we are making that day. We don't have any fancy landscaping, just the concrete yard where the vans load up. The staff mostly comes from the nearby areas, so there’s a lot of familiar faces every morning. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and making sure the seals on the packets are tight. It’s repetitive work but it needs to be done right. When the shift ends, we usually stand around the gate for a few minutes before heading out to the main road. M.B. Road is always a mess with traffic, so getting here and back is the hardest part of the day. We just focus on getting the crates filled and moved out on time. It is a lot of effort but we manage.
