Cabinet Secretariat

You can find us at the A202 unit inside the Pragati Vihar Hostel on Lodhi Road. This is right in the heart of New Delhi, so as you can imagine, it’s a very busy part of the capital. We are part of the Cabinet Secretariat, which sounds very formal, but day-to-day it’s just a lot of administrative work and staying organized. The hostel building itself has been around for quite a while and it has that specific government building feel to it. It’s not about being stylish here; it’s about having enough desk space and making sure the files don’t get lost. New Delhi 110003 is a high-profile zip code but our daily life is pretty mundane. We deal with a lot of paperwork and people coming in for meetings. The hallways are long and sometimes the lighting is a bit dim, but we’re used to it. Lodhi Road is actually quite beautiful with all the old trees and the parks nearby, so we usually take a walk during lunch if it’s not too hot outside. We don’t have a marketing team because we don’t really need one. We just do the tasks that are assigned to this department and try to keep things moving along according to the rules. It’s a steady kind of life here in the secretariat and we have been at this address for a long time now.
