We are set up at 296 Aravali Apartments in New Delhi. It’s a residential area, which makes coming to work feel a bit different than being in a big commercial park. You see the same faces every morning, neighbors walking their dogs or people heading out for groceries. Our space is tucked away inside the complex, and it’s actually quite quiet most of the time. We handle insurance stuff, which mostly means a lot of paperwork and phone calls. It isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but it’s important to the people who come to us. Our desks are usually covered in files and some old coffee mugs that need washing. We don’t have any big neon signs or anything like that. Just a small sign by the door so people can find us. It’s mostly just a handful of us here, and we’ve become pretty good friends over the years. We talk about our families and what we’re having for lunch while we sort through policies. The 110019 area is a good spot to be in, even if the traffic on the main road can be a bit much during rush hour. We just try to be helpful when someone walks in with a question. It’s a straightforward life here at the apartment office, and we like the steady pace of it. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello, which makes it feel less like a workplace.
