Balkesha Collection

Balkesha Collection is tucked away in Sangam Vihar. Our specific address is G-Ii, 451/18 on Ratiya Marg. It is a bit of a maze back here if you are not used to the local streets. We deal with clothes and various fabrics for daily wear. The room is usually full of rolls of cloth and different colored thread. It is a family-run thing we have going on. We do the cutting and the stitching ourselves on the machines. Sometimes the power goes out, which makes it hard to get anything done. We just wait it out and talk while we drink tea. Ratiya Marg is always crowded with people and rickshaws moving about. It is a loud place but we like the energy of the market. We have been in this tiny unit for about six years. We started with just one machine in the corner. Now we have three of them. It is not a lot, but it is enough for what we do. We do not have a big sign outside to show where we are. People just know the number 451/18. We sell to the local shops around here. We do not do any big shipping to other cities. It is all very local and small. The fabric dust gets everywhere, so we are always sweeping. It is honest work and it pays our bills. We do not ask for much more.
