Our shop is tucked away in Gali Number 2 in Gupta Colony. If you know where Zakaria Masjid is, we aren't very far from there. It is a tight space in Sangam Vihar, but we make it work with all the heavy metal we handle every day. We have been working with metal for quite some years now. Mostly it is cutting, bending, and making things that people need for their houses or small shops. It gets quite noisy with the machines running all day long. Sometimes the power goes out, which slows us down, but that is just how it is in this part of Delhi. We do not have a big showroom or anything like that. People just come to the door with a drawing or a piece they need fixed. We use steel, iron, or whatever the job calls for. My brother and I usually handle the heavy lifting ourselves. It is dusty work and our hands are always stained with grease or tiny metal bits. We try to finish orders on time, though sometimes the bigger pieces take a few extra days if the material is late. We do not promise anything we cannot actually do. If a frame is bent, we straighten it. If someone needs a gate, we weld it. It is very straightforward work. Living and working in Sangam Vihar means we know almost everyone on the street. We have been in this same house for a long time.
