If you’ve ever driven down the Delhi Mathura Road, you’ve probably seen us in Sarita Vihar. It’s a massive landmark in this part of South Delhi. The traffic outside is almost always heavy, and the noise of the city follows you right up to the entrance. Once you’re inside, though, it’s a different world. It’s a massive complex with different blocks and levels that can be confusing if it’s your first time. We spend a lot of time giving directions to people looking for specific labs or wards. The hospital is like a small city on its own. We have everything from pharmacies to canteens tucked away in different corners. The staff here is a mix of everyone—young interns looking a bit tired and older doctors who have seen everything. We don't have a mission statement on the wall that we recite; we just show up and start the rounds. It’s a lot of walking, a lot of talking to families, and a lot of checking charts. Sometimes the lifts take forever, and the lobby gets crowded when visiting hours start. It’s just how it is. We try to keep the place running as efficiently as possible, despite the sheer number of people we see every day. It’s a big responsibility, but we just take it one patient at a time without making a big fuss about it. We are just here to do our jobs in Sarita Vihar.
