Anisha Store

Anisha Store is tucked away in Mehrauli at address 890/8. It is just a small corner of the world really. We sell a bit of everything that the people living in this neighborhood might need on a daily basis. We have things like milk and bread and different kinds of pulses and snacks for the kids when they get out of school. Mehrauli is a very old place with these narrow lanes that wind around everywhere. Sometimes it is quite hard for the delivery trucks to get all the way to 890/8 but we always figure it out. We have been running this store for a long time and it is a family thing. My wife and I take turns sitting behind the counter from morning until the evening. We know the names of almost everyone who walks through the door because they live right nearby. It is more than just selling groceries to us. It is about being a part of the street and knowing what is going on. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by outside. Other days it feels like everyone comes in at once right after the offices close. We do not have a big sign or anything like that. People just know where Anisha Store is. We try to keep the prices fair for everyone. 890/8 is where we spend most of our time and it is a good life.
