Angles In My Kitchen

We are tucked into the Defence Colony Main Market at number 7. It is a small shop and it gets quite cramped when more than a few people come in at once. I am usually behind the counter or back in the small kitchen area. The smell of bread and sugar is always there, even in my clothes when I go home. We spend a lot of time fiddling with the oven temperatures because they can be a bit temperamental. Def Col market is a busy place and parking is always a headache for everyone. Our windows get steamed up in the winter when we are baking. We do not have a lot of space for people to sit, so most just grab what they want and go. The display cases need cleaning every hour because people leave fingerprints on the glass looking at the cakes. I have to count the boxes and the flour bags every morning to make sure we have enough for the day. It is a lot of standing on your feet and the floor is a bit uneven in the back. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down and we have to scramble to fix it before the morning rush. It is just a local bakery where we try to get the crust right. Nothing too fancy, just a lot of baking and cleaning.
