We are over at D-40 in Saket, which is right in the Contractors Area. This part of town is pretty industrial, so there are always people moving gear and materials around. Our office is a bit of a mix between a workshop and a place to do billing. You’ll see spare parts on some tables and stacks of blueprints on others. It’s not a very polished environment, but it’s where we get the real work done. The air is often thick with the smell of metal or grease, especially when we are checking new shipments. We’ve been in Saket for quite a while, so most of the other contractors around here know us. We don't really have a receptionist or anything; usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. The heat in Jamshedpur can be pretty intense, so the AC in the main room is always running, even if it makes a lot of noise. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or trying to figure out why a particular piece of equipment isn't working right. It’s a lot of practical, hands-on stuff. We aren't much for fancy marketing or showing off. We just show up every morning, drink our tea, and try to get through the list of jobs we have for the day. It gets loud and messy sometimes, but that’s just engineering for you. We keep going until the work is finished properly.
