Alvan Metal

Alvan Metal is just a small place located in Chattarpur. We are set up right on the Main Road, not too far from Chattarpur Park. If you are driving around here, you probably know how the traffic gets during the rush hours. It’s a noisy area but being near the park gives us a bit of a landmark to tell people when they get lost. We deal with metal every day, so the yard is usually full of stuff waiting to be moved or sorted. It gets dusty, and in the summer, the sun makes everything hot to the touch. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. Usually, we just sit on the plastic chairs near the entrance and talk to whoever comes in. Some days it is just us moving heavy things around and checking the weight on the scales. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers recognize us. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. You get your hands dirty and you go home tired. We just focus on getting the day’s work finished so we can close up and head back. Sometimes people ask why we don’t move to a bigger place, but this spot on the Main Road works fine for us. It’s convenient for the trucks to pull in and out without too much trouble. We just keep things moving and stay busy.
