Altech Engineers

Altech Engineers is based out of C/40-A in Gangotri Enclave, which is in the Alaknanda area. Being in a residential enclave makes the work environment feel a bit different than being in a big commercial tower. It’s quieter, for one thing, and there are trees outside the window. We started this engineering firm because we wanted to do things our own way. We have a small office space where we keep our blueprints, computers, and all the technical manuals we’ve collected over the years. It’s not always perfectly tidy; there are often rolls of drawings and coffee mugs sitting around on the desks. We spend a lot of time doing calculations or talking to contractors on the phone. Sometimes we have to go out to sites, so the office might be empty for a few hours in the afternoon. We don’t have a big HR department or a marketing team. It’s just us engineers and a couple of people who help with the administration. We know the neighbors in the enclave and the local shopkeepers. It feels like a very grounded way to run an engineering business. We don't use much jargon when we talk to people. We just explain what needs to be done and how we plan to do it. It’s a simple setup, but it works well for the kind of projects we handle. It is a bit cramped with all the paper, but we like it.
