Alpex Exports is over at B-79, Shivalik Enclave, which is quite close to Malviya Nagar. It's a decent area, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare during the middle of the day. We spend most of our time dealing with export documents and checking on shipments. The office gets pretty crowded with boxes when a big order is going out. You can hear the sound of packing tape being pulled all through the afternoon. We have a few desks squeezed in together. My desk is right by the door, so I see everyone coming and going. We export different types of goods, and there is always something to keep us on our toes. Sometimes the customs paperwork takes forever, and we end up staying late to fix things. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We drink a lot of tea here to keep going. The neighbors in Shivalik Enclave are mostly quiet, which is nice. We try not to make too much noise when the trucks arrive. There’s a small park nearby where some of us go for a walk during the break. We don’t have a big website or a social media person. We just talk to our clients on the phone and send out our stuff. It’s a small team, and we all know each other’s families by now. It feels more like a home than a corporate office.
