Alok Bajpai

Started out on Chattarpur Temple Road quite a while back. It is a busy spot, especially on festival days when the whole street fills up with people and stalls. Our building isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular place where we get the work done. Most days start early here because the morning bells from the temple sort of act like an alarm clock for everyone on this block. We have a small desk near the front and some old chairs that have seen better days. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic passing by outside, but we keep a fan running to stay cool. Alok is usually around handling things himself, often talking to neighbors or sorting out paperwork that piles up. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know how things run. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power goes out for a bit, so we just sit outside and wait it out. It is a simple setup really. People stop by mostly because they know where to find us. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders as long as the jobs get finished. The tea stall next door is where we spend our breaks. Living and working right here in Chhatarpur has its ups and downs, but it feels like home after all these years.
