Over in Phase-II of the Okhla Industrial Area, at X-63, that’s where we do our thing at Aii Niish Fashions. Okhla is a chaotic place, full of trucks and people hauling rolls of cloth around. Our building is always buzzing with the sound of sewing machines. It’s not like those fancy fashion shows you see on TV; it’s mostly just us sitting at tables, cutting fabric, and making sure the stitching is straight. We have a lot of people working here, and it can get pretty loud when everyone is talking over the noise of the equipment. There’s always a pile of samples in the corner and someone rushing to get a package ready for a courier. We deal with a lot of different styles, and sometimes the designs are a bit tricky to figure out, but we eventually get there. The lighting isn't always the best, and the tea guy is the most popular person in the building at four o'clock. We’ve had our fair share of mistakes, like cutting a sleeve too short or running out of the right thread, but we just fix it and keep moving. It’s a tough business and the deadlines are always tight. We’re just a local outfit trying to make clothes that people will actually want to wear without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been here a while and know the rhythm of the place.
