Working at Aamod Consultancy Pvt Ltd means being right in the middle of all the chaos at the Safdarjung Hospital Complex. Our office is at W 111, which is part of the New Nurses Hostel building. If you know New Delhi 110029, you know how busy it gets around here. There are always people moving, ambulance sirens in the distance, and students rushing to and from the hospital. Inside our space, things are a bit quieter, but not by much. We spend most of our time on the phone or buried in stacks of documents. Consultancy work isn't always exciting, and there is a lot of waiting for things to get approved or processed by different departments. Our desks are old, and the fans never seem to move the air quite enough in the summer. We’ve been in this spot for years, so we’ve seen the hospital grow and change around us. Most of our clients find us because they are already in the area for medical reasons or work at the complex. We try to keep things simple and just explain what needs to be done without using too many big words. It’s a lot of paper shifting and making sure the right forms go to the right people. We eat our lunch at the desks most days because it’s too crowded outside to find a seat. It is a practical life, just doing the work that comes across the desk day by day.
