Aakash Garments

We’re situated on Main Tajpur Road, right near the Badarpur Border. It’s a very lively and loud area, always full of people and vehicles moving around. Aakash Garments has been in this B-3 building for quite a while now. We focus on making clothes that regular people can actually wear in their everyday lives. We don't do anything too complicated or high-fashion. Our workspace is usually packed to the ceiling with rolls of fabric and half-finished shirts or trousers. We have a few tailors who have been with the shop for many years. They know exactly how to handle the old machines to get the best results. It gets quite dusty in here with all the lint flying around, but we’re all used to it by now. The noise of the traffic from the border is always there in the background, like a constant hum. Sometimes it’s even hard to hear the phone ringing when a customer calls. We don't spend any money on fancy decorations or signs for the shop. We’d rather just focus on getting the stitching right and the orders out the door. People come in with their specific requirements, and we see if we can manage it for them. We try to be honest if we’re already backed up with too much work. It’s better than making a promise that we simply can’t keep. Badarpur is a tough place to work, but it’s our home.
