Hotel Sinclairs Darjeeling

Our hotel is at 18/1 Gandhi Road, which is a spot most people know if they've ever spent time in Darjeeling. Gandhi Road is quite a climb, and we're right in the middle of all that local activity. The weather here changes every single hour; one minute it's sunny and the next the fog rolls in so thick you can't even see the building across the street. We've been part of this neighborhood for a long time. The hotel is an older building with wooden floors that sometimes creak a bit when you're walking on them. We don't have any of those fancy modern elevators or anything too high-tech. It's just a solid, reliable place with rooms for people who want to see the mountains. We spend a lot of time making sure there's enough hot water because it gets really cold here in the winter months. The staff are mostly local folks from the hills who have been with us for a long time. They know where to get the best tea and which walking paths are a bit too steep. We aren't a high-end luxury spot, just a standard hotel that's been around for years. It can get a bit noisy with the tourists on the road outside, but it's a good spot to be if you want to be near the shops. We just keep the place running and the guests comfortable.
