Hotel Megapode Nest

We are tucked away in Haddo, which is a part of the area that feels a bit more secluded than the main docks. Hotel Megapode Nest is the name on the sign, and we have a lot of trees around us. Because of the location, we get a lot of birds and insects, and that’s just something we deal with every day. The building itself is spread out, so there is a lot of ground to cover when we are doing our rounds. We spend a lot of time outside on the walkways or checking the roof after a heavy rain. It’s a quiet place, mostly because Haddo doesn't have the same roar as the town center. Our staff is mostly local, and we often sit together in the back during slow hours. We don't have a corporate office telling us what to do every minute. We just know that the rooms need to be ready and the trash needs to go out. The wooden parts of the building need a lot of oiling because of the humidity, so that’s a constant job for us. It’s a bit of a climb to get to some parts of the property, but the view is something we see every day and don't think much about anymore. It’s just where we go to work and keep things going.
