Sunrise Basmati Overseas

Sunrise Basmati Overseas is located on the second floor of Office No. 5, right above the State Bank of India in the Sector-8 Main Market. It is a busy spot, especially on market days when the parking gets a bit crazy. Being on the second floor means we have a bit of a view of the street, but mostly we are looking at stacks of samples and ledgers. We deal with Basmati rice, which is a big deal in this part of the country. Our office isn't very large, but it is where all the decisions happen. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on shipments. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. It keeps us fit, I suppose. We are not some giant international firm with hundreds of employees. We are a small team that knows the rice trade inside and out. We look at the grain quality, check the moisture, and make sure the bags are weighed correctly. It is a lot of back-and-forth work. We do not have a glossy brochure or a big marketing team. We just rely on our years of experience and the relationships we have built with the local mills. It is a steady business, and being in the main market makes it easy for people to drop by when they are in town.
