Luxmi Rice Mills

We are right on Railway Road in Ganaur. You can’t miss the smell of the grain when you get close to Luxmi Rice Mills. It is a busy spot, especially when the harvest comes in. We have been here for years, watching the trains go by and the trucks line up. It is a lot of dust and noise, but we are used to it by now. The mill runs most of the day and sometimes late into the night if we have a lot of work to finish. We are just local people working here. Some of us have been at this mill since we were much younger. We don’t have any fancy marketing people or a big office building. It is just the mill, the storage, and a small room where we keep the books. The floors are always covered in a bit of husk, no matter how much we sweep. We talk to the farmers who bring their loads in and we try to get things sorted as fast as we can. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when it rains and we have to cover everything up quickly. It is not an easy job, but it is what we know how to do. Ganaur is a quiet place except for the railway, and we fit right in. We just focus on the rice and making sure the machines keep humming along.
