Riddhi Pulses

Riddhi Pulses is over in Nijampur Khurd Village. We are part of the Kharkhoda Tehsil in the Sonipat District. To get here you follow the road toward the Kharkhauda Post Office. It’s a rural area which is perfect for what we do with pulses. We have a large shed where we keep the bags and a small area for the paperwork. The village is quiet most of the time except when the harvest is coming in. That’s when things get really hectic around here. We work with the local farmers and spend a lot of time checking the quality of the grains. It’s a dusty job but someone has to do it. We don't wear suits or have big meetings. Usually, we just stand around the bags and talk about the prices and the weight. Our family has been involved in this for a while and we know the land around Sonipat pretty well. The warehouse is nothing special to look at but it does the job of keeping the pulses dry. We use a simple scale and some old ledgers to keep track of everything. It’s a way of life that hasn’t changed much over the years. We wake up early and finish when the sun goes down. If you’re ever out in Nijampur Khurd you’ll see our sign. It’s a plain place for plain work and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and get the bagging done every single day.
