If you head over to Plot No.99 in the Mohalla-Khanpur area, that is where you will find Jeet Rice Mill Pvt. Ltd. We have been operating from this plot for quite a while now. It is a solid place for a mill, with enough room for the equipment and the bags that pile up during the season. The area is mostly quiet compared to the city center, which suits us just fine. We spend most of our hours making sure the machines are running right and the rice is handled properly. It is physical work and we often end up with dust on our clothes by the end of the shift. The mill is a big part of our lives, and we take it one day at a time. We do not really do the whole corporate thing with fancy meetings. Mostly, we just talk over things while we are working or taking a short break near the gate. Mohalla-Khanpur has a certain feel to it, and we are glad to be tucked away here on our plot. You can hear the hum of the mill from the road if you are passing by at the right time. It is not a glamorous job, but it is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We just try to do what needs doing and go home tired but satisfied with the day’s work. There is always more to do tomorrow, so we just keep at it steadily.
