Suvarna Cafe

Our cafe is located at Shop No 40 to 42 along the MIDC Road in Solapur. It is quite close to the Aakashwani Kendra. This area is very industrial, so there is always dust and noise from the trucks going by. We have been here for a long time serving tea and snacks to the factory workers. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside. We have some old wooden tables and stools that we've had since we opened. Solapur gets incredibly hot in the summer months, so our ceiling fans are almost always running at full speed. They make a bit of a clicking sound, but nobody seems to mind much. We make tea in big batches because the rush during the break hours is quite heavy. We serve it in glass tumblers which get very hot to hold. Our menu is simple, mostly just Vada Pav and some biscuits. The floor is made of old stone and it gets dirty quickly with all the workers coming in with their heavy work boots. We try to sweep it out every few hours. It is a place where people can sit for twenty minutes and forget about their machines. We don't have any fancy decorations, just a couple of old calendars on the wall. It is a busy, noisy place but it feels like home to us. We know most of our customers by their first names and they know us too.
