Our little spot is located at 123 Rajmahal in the Saat Rasta area of Solapur. It’s right across from the Samaj Kalyan Kendra, so it’s easy to find if you're in that part of town. We specialize in idlis and other simple breakfast items. We open up quite early because that’s when people want their tiffin. The kitchen is small and we stay busy steaming plates of idlis all morning long. It’s a humble place. We don't have air conditioning or fancy seating. Most people just pull up a stool or stand and eat quickly before heading to work. We use the same recipes that have been used around here for a long time. The chutney is made fresh every day, and once it's gone, it's gone. We don't like wasting food, so we only make what we think we'll sell. Sometimes the line gets a bit long out the door, especially on Monday mornings. We try to move fast, but we're only a few people working here. Solapur is a hardworking city, and we feel like we fit right in with the vibe of Saat Rasta. It’s noisy, it’s a bit crowded, but it’s home. We’ve been serving the same families for years now. It’s not a chain or a franchise. It’s just us doing our thing every day at Rajmahal. We just keep the steamers going and the customers fed.
