You can find us over at Survey Number 103 in the Vairag area. We are tucked into Siddheshwar Nagar Nayi Zindagi, which is a quiet part of the town compared to the main market. I remember when we first moved into this space, it was just an empty room with one light bulb. Now we have enough benches for the local kids to sit comfortably. It's a bit of a walk from the main bus stop but the students don't seem to mind much. We spend a lot of time here, usually starting early before the sun gets too hot. The walls are painted a simple off-white and we have some charts pinned up to help with the lessons. It feels like a neighborhood place because it is. Parents often stop by on their way home to check how things are going. We don't have a big office or a secretary, so we just handle everything ourselves. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we open the windows and keep going with the natural light. It's just part of living in Solapur. Our main goal is just making sure the kids understand their schoolwork. We don't use any complicated equipment, just books and pens. It’s hard work but it feels right to be doing this in Vairag. We’ve become part of the daily life here and that’s plenty for us.
