Subodh Industries

Subodh Industries is situated on Baramati Lakshmipura Main Road, near the Chikkabanavara Post 20 area. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but the main road makes it easy for the trucks to bring in materials. The facility is mostly a big open space with metal roofing that gets quite loud when it rains. We do a lot of heavy work here, and there is always a layer of iron dust or grease on the floor no matter how much we sweep. The office part is just a small corner with a metal desk and some old filing cabinets that don't always open properly. Chikkabanavara Post is the main landmark for us, and being at number 20 puts us right where the industrial activity is highest. The sun beats down on the Lakshmipura Main Road all afternoon, making the warehouse feel like an oven sometimes. We keep a big water cooler in the corner for everyone to use during the shifts. Most of the day is spent checking the machines and making sure the orders are packed correctly into the wooden crates. It is not the cleanest job in the world, but we take care of the tasks as they come. The sound of the machines is constant from eight in the morning until we shut the power down for the day. It is a straightforward operation without any unnecessary bells or whistles.
