Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd.

Our place is over in Damani Nagar in Solapur, specifically at numbers 151 and 152. We’ve been part of the Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd team for quite some time now. Solapur is a busy town, and Damani Nagar has its own pace. It is not a shiny new office park, just a solid building where we handle the iron and metal business. The street can get pretty crowded with people and cycles, especially in the evenings. We spend our days going through spreadsheets and talking to the people at the plant. It’s practical work. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big lobby. There is usually a lot of paper on the desks and the sound of the ceiling fans. We drink a lot of water because Solapur gets really hot during the summer months. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad. We know the tea seller on the corner and the guys at the local bank. It feels like a real part of the community here. We handle the ferrous business matters without a lot of complicated language. It is just about getting the iron to where it needs to go and making sure the counts are right. We stay until the work is finished, usually around six or seven. It is a regular job in a regular neighborhood, and we like it that way. No big speeches or corporate talk, just moving metal and keeping the records straight for everyone involved.
