Shravani Classes

Potdar Wada has a lot of history, and that's where you'll find us at Survey Number 524. Shravani Classes is tucked away in this old part of Solapur. It’s not like those new glass buildings you see in other cities. It feels lived-in. There’s a certain smell of old paper and stone here. We have students coming in from all over the 413001 zip code. The entryway is a bit narrow, so everyone has to leave their shoes in a neat pile outside. Inside, it’s just us and the lessons. I spend a lot of time cleaning the chalkboards because the dust gets everywhere. We don't use fancy tablets or computers. It’s all pens and paper here. The neighborhood is quiet during the day, but it wakes up when school finishes. I’ve seen kids grow up through these classes, starting when they are small and leaving when they are ready for college. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, I usually have to stop teaching to answer it. It can be a bit chaotic sometimes. We don't have a formal mission statement written on the wall. We just show up every day and do the work. It’s a simple life, and the wada makes it feel like we are part of something older than ourselves. We just keep our heads down and focus on the books.
