Sangameshwer College

You can find Sangameshwer College right at Sat Rasta in Solapur. It is a landmark in this part of town and has been around for quite a few years now. The area is always crowded with traffic and people going to the local markets. Our gates are right there in the middle of all that daily action. It is a big place with lots of different buildings for the various subjects we teach. We have hundreds of students coming through every morning. Some take the bus and others walk from the nearby residential areas. The campus has some trees which give a bit of shade during the hot Solapur summers which we all appreciate. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or glossy advertisements. The stone walls of the old buildings tell the story of the place better than a pamphlet could. The administrative office is always a bit hectic with students trying to pay their fees or get their hall tickets for the exams. It’s just the way things go in a busy college. We have a big library where it's supposed to be quiet but there is always someone whispering in the back. Teachers here are mostly local people who have been with us for a long time. They know the families and the struggles the students face. We just try to provide a decent place for higher education without making a big deal out of it. It’s a functional place that serves the city well.
