Our place is out in Bale, which is on the edge of Solapur. It’s a bit quieter out here than in the middle of the city. Mit Junior Colleges is basically a building where students come to get through their higher secondary years. It’s a serious time for them because of all the exams they have to take. The parking area is always full of bicycles and a few motorbikes. Inside, the corridors are wide but they get packed when the bell rings. We have basic classrooms with benches that have seen better days. The teachers have a small room where they sit and grade papers. We don't have much in the way of decorations, just some charts on the walls. Solapur gets really dry, so we try to keep the water coolers filled up all day long. Students usually hang out in the shade during their breaks. We just try to keep things running smoothly without too much fuss. There’s always someone at the front desk to answer questions from parents. It’s a practical setup. We don't really go in for anything flashy. Most people in the Bale area know where we are. We just open the doors, do the classes, and close up at the end of the day. It’s a simple routine that we’ve stuck to for years. The building is old but it serves its purpose for the local community here. We just focus on getting through the syllabus every year.
