J.K. Steel

J.K. Steel is located on Nagnath Gate Road, right by the Nagnath Gate itself. We are near the Vikram Company and there is a State Bank of India ATM close by, which helps people find us. The road is usually quite active with local traffic. We’ve got a yard where we keep all the steel products. It’s a lot of manual work here. We spend our mornings checking what came in and what needs to go out to the customers. It’s not a shiny or polished place. There’s rust on some of the old equipment and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. But we aren't here to look pretty; we’re here to handle steel. Most of our customers are folks from the surrounding area who are building something or fixing a machine. We talk to them, find out what they need, and get it cut to size. Sometimes the machines are loud and we have to shout to be heard over the noise. We keep a simple log of what we do. It’s a small operation, just a few local guys working together. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure the steel we sell is exactly what the person asked for. If you’re passing the ATM on Nagnath Gate Road, you’ll probably see our gates open and us working away at J.K. Steel.
