Bramhanjali Foods & Spices

You can find us at 105/126 Uma Nagri, which is tucked inside Morarji Peth. It’s a bit of a mix between a residential area and small businesses around here. Bramhanjali Foods & Spices started because we wanted to do something local and useful. We handle a lot of different food items, but spices are the main thing. My brother and I usually handle the grinding and the packaging ourselves. When the chili grinder is running, everyone in the building starts sneezing, but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. The space isn't huge, so we have to be very organized with how we stack the boxes. We keep a ledger on the desk to track what comes in and what goes out to the local shops. Sometimes the rains make the street outside a bit muddy, but people still find their way to us. We don't have a team of fancy people running things. It’s just a family-run spot where we work long hours to make sure the food is handled right. Most of our day is spent cleaning the machines or talking to the delivery guys who come by on their scooters. It’s a quiet life in a way, even though it’s busy. We just focus on what’s in front of us and try to make sure every bag we sell is full.
