Zanskar Inc. is over on The Mall Road in the Solan district. Our office is based inside the J.Jakki Mulls & Sons building. It’s a good spot because we are right on the opposite side of the main bus stand. With the bus stand so close, there is a constant flow of people and traffic nearby. Solan is a nice place to work, especially with the hills all around. The building has a lot of history and you can tell it’s been there for a long time. Our office is just a regular room with some old desks and chairs we’ve had for years. It’s not a high-end corporate office with glass partitions or anything like that. It feels more like a cozy, slightly cluttered space where we feel at home. From the windows, we can look out at the street and see what’s happening. Winters here can get pretty chilly, so we keep a heater in the office and wear warm clothes. We are a small group and we’ve been working together for a long time. We don't have a receptionist or even a big sign outside. Most people who come to see us already know the way. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to stay organized, even if our filing system is a bit old-fashioned. It’s just a normal, local business running out of a traditional building on Mall Road. We like the pace of life here and don't feel the need for anything fancier.
