Preeti Engineering Works

At Preeti Engineering Works, we are located over at Gala No. 16 in the Doshi Industries area on Demni Road. Dadra is quite an industrial spot, so there is always a lot of noise from the nearby units. Our workshop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a solid space where we get the engineering jobs done. We have a few machines running most of the time, so the floor vibrates a bit under your feet. It smells like grease and cutting oil in here, which is just how a machine shop should be. I usually spend my time checking the parts coming off the line or talking to the guys about a specific drawing a customer brought in. We get a lot of walk-ins from other factories nearby needing a quick fix or a custom part. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing them instead of running production. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy metal pieces and making sure everything is lined up right. We keep a calendar on the wall to track the jobs, but mostly we just know what needs to be done next. Lunch is usually eaten quickly at the back of the gala. It’s not the cleanest job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and finish the batches as they come in, day after day. It is a noisy place, but we like the work.
