Akshar Engineering

Our shop is set up right by the New Police Chowki in Masat, along the Khanvel Road. It’s a pretty industrial part of the area, which suits the kind of engineering work we do here. There is always a bit of traffic on the road, mostly trucks and workers heading into the nearby plants. We spend most of our time at Akshar Engineering working with machines and metal parts. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We have a few heavy machines that take up most of the space on the floor. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the doors open and keep working. Being near the police chowki makes it easy for people to find us when they are looking for a machine shop. We don’t have a big office or anyone to answer phones all day. Usually, if someone needs something, they just walk in and talk to whoever is free. We do a lot of repairs and custom bits for people around here. Every day is a bit different depending on what breaks or what needs making. We just take things as they come and try to get the jobs done on time. It’s a practical business, and we don't spend much time on anything that isn't related to the machines. We just work hard and stay busy.
