Our company, Shreeganpati Ridhi Sidhi Agro Producercompany Limited, is based over in Kasaramod, which is in Kopaganj. Specifically, we are tied to the village area of Kopakohna. It’s a bit of a quiet spot, but there’s always something going on with the land. Being a producer company means we are a bit different from just a regular shop. We deal with the actual growing and the producers themselves. It’s hard work and it doesn't always go according to plan. The weather can be a real headache some months. We started this to have a local base here in the village. It saves people a lot of travel time. The office isn't much to look at, just a place where we meet and discuss what needs to be done. We have a lot of local guys involved. We try to keep things straightforward and honest. There isn't any big fancy strategy here, just trying to make sure the crops and the business side of things match up. Kopakohna is a small place, so word travels fast around here. If something isn't working, everyone knows about it pretty quickly. We spend our mornings checking on things and our afternoons dealing with the admin stuff.
