Vasundhratpsp Kisan Producer Company Limited

My name is Thakur Prasad and I live in Nawapurpo. It’s a small village in Mariahu tahsil. We called our group Vasundhratpsp Kisan Producer because we are all farmers here. People around here just call us Kisan. Tarati is the local area where we spend most of our time out in the sun. I remember when we first thought about making an actual company. It sounded like a lot of work and paperwork but we did it anyway. Now we have a group of guys from the village who all pitch in. We talk about the crops over tea. Sometimes we meet at my place or just out in the lane. Life in Mariahu is mostly about the fields and the weather. We grow what the season allows and pray for rain. Some years are better than others. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us. We know our land very well because we've walked it since we were kids. Every corner of the field has a story. We try to work together so we can maybe get better tools. It is hard to buy big things alone when you're just one person. So we share. That’s the whole point really. We are just simple people. We don't use big words or have meetings in offices with air conditioning. We meet outside. The dust gets on everything but that's just part of it. We are proud of being from Nawapurpo. It’s our place and these are our people. We just keep working every day.
