Mandapur Farmers Producer Company

We are located over at 7-60 in Jagdevpur. It's mostly just a group of us farmers from the Mandapur area trying to get by and make things work. We started Mandapur Farmers Producer Company because doing everything on our own was getting way too difficult to manage. Some days the weather behaves, but other times it really doesn't, and that is just the way it goes here. We spend the bulk of our time out in the fields or trying to figure out where we can get better quality seeds for the next planting. It certainly isn't fancy around here. We have this small office space where we meet up to talk about the harvest, prices, and who needs help. Usually, the room is full of noise and people drinking tea while we try to settle the accounts. Being a farmer means you don't really get to have proper days off like people in the city. We just wanted a simple way to make sure our hard work pays off a little bit more than it used to. Most of us have lived around this village our whole lives. We know the soil and we definitely know each other’s business. It’s a lot of work handling all the new paperwork and the actual farming at the same time, but we manage somehow. If you ever come by Jagdevpur, you'll see how we operate. It's just regular people trying to do right by their families. We aren't trying to be big, just sustainable.
