Bodhisattva Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Bodhisattva Agro is based out in the Shohratgarh area, specifically over in Dist Bastitown. Birjesh Chand and a few of us others started this up because we needed a better way to handle the farming around Sidharthnagar. Our spot is a bit out of the way, especially if you aren't used to the local roads. We deal with a lot of the crops that the local families grow in their fields. It’s a lot of grain and pulses mostly. We aren't doing anything that hasn't been done for generations, just trying to do it a bit more organized as a group. The office isn't much to look at, just a place for us to meet and talk about the seeds and the prices. We don't use any fancy language or have big meetings with slides. Usually, we just sit around and talk about what needs doing next. Sometimes we have trouble with the transport when the roads get bad after the monsoon. But we manage to get things moved eventually. We aren't some big city company. We are just folks from the Basti district who know the soil here. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we’re used to it. Most of us have been in these fields since we were little kids. We just want to keep the work going and help the local farmers stay afloat during the tough seasons.
