Khedapati Farmers Producer Company Limited is run by a group of us who live here in Gram-Parichchha Ahir. Our main contact is Ramswarup Jatav, and we use his place as our base. We are located in the Pohari Tehsil of Shivpuri. This is a rural area, and most of us involved in the company are farmers ourselves. We decided to come together as a group to help each other out with selling our crops and getting better prices for the things we need for our land. We don't have a big, fancy office building. Instead, we just meet up at the house or sometimes out in the village when the weather is nice. It’s a very informal way to run things, but it works for our community. We spend a lot of time talking about things like the rainfall and the quality of the soil. Every member has a chance to say what they think. Sometimes our meetings go on for a long time because everyone has an opinion on how things should be done. We aren't professional businessmen in suits; we are just regular people who work in the fields every day. We handle the paperwork for the producer company in between our regular farm chores. It’s a lot of work to keep it going, but it’s better than trying to do everything on our own. We just take it one day at a time.
