Jai Bagicha Sarkar Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over at Shop No. 4 in the New Colony area of Karera. It’s a small shop, but it’s where Jai Bagicha Sarkar Farmers Producer Company Limited does all its business. Most of the time, the shop is full of bags or just people coming in to talk about their crops. We aren't big on fancy decorations or anything. We just needed a central spot in Karera where we could meet up and handle the administrative side of things. Farming is what we do, but the business side of it is newer to us. We are just a group of farmers who wanted to see if we could get a better deal by working together. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty, and the paperwork piles up, but we get through it. We talk about the weather a lot because it’s what matters most to us. When you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and looking over some ledgers. It’s a very local thing, and everyone knows everyone else around here. We don't have a big staff, just us and a few helpers when things get busy during the season. We try to be fair with everyone and just keep the wheels turning. It's hard work, but being in Karera makes it feel like home. We started this because the market was getting harder to manage alone and we wanted to help our neighbors out too.
