Our office is located at Flat No. 2, right opposite the Indian Bank in Chaura Maidan, Shimla. Even though the name says Hyderabad, this is our little branch up here in the hills of Himachal Pradesh. Being in Shimla, the weather is usually cool, which is a nice change from the plains. The office is in a small flat, so it’s pretty compact. We have a view of the street from the window, and we can see people heading to the bank all day. Inside, we’ve got our computers and a lot of paper records. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are working in the same room. We handle things like admissions and general questions for the university from here. The building is older, with those thick walls you see in Shimla. Sometimes it gets a bit damp when the mists come in, but we just keep a heater going. We aren't a big operation here, just a couple of us managing the local needs. It’s a very quiet and simple place to work. We don't have any big signs or fancy furniture. Just a couple of desks, some chairs, and a kettle for tea. Most people who come in are students from the nearby areas. We just sit and chat with them about their needs. It’s a very relaxed, local way of doing things in the mountains.
