Alpine International School

Alpine International School is situated on the Dandru Mehre Road in Jaure Amb, which is in the Hamirpur district. Even though the name sounds quite grand, we are a pretty grounded place. The school is right there on the road, so it’s easy for the local families to find us. We have a mix of students from the nearby villages and the town. The building is a sturdy structure that has seen a lot of kids pass through over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just classrooms and a small office where we handle the admissions and the fees. We try to keep the place tidy, but with kids running around, there’s always a bit of dust or a stray piece of paper. The winters in Hamirpur can get a bit chilly, so we make sure the students are bundled up. In the summer, the ceiling fans are always buzzing. We don't have a lot of frills here. It’s mostly about getting the lessons done and making sure the students follow the rules. Our playground is where most of the action happens during lunch break. You’ll see them playing football or just sitting in groups. The teachers here are local people who understand the community. We don't use any big corporate language; we just tell the parents how their kids are doing in plain English or Hindi. It’s a busy, working school that focuses on the basics day after day.
