Our office is up on the third floor of the building at 5-4-92/1 on MG Road. Ranigunj is a very busy area, so there is always noise coming from the street below us. We deal in granites every day. It is a tough business because the stones are heavy and you have to be very careful with the finishes so they do not get scratched. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people who need stone for their floors or kitchen counters. Being on MG Road means we are right in the middle of everything in the city. You have to climb some stairs to get up to our floor. We have been doing this for a bit now as a private limited company, but it is still mostly about the daily tasks. Sometimes we have samples laying around the office so people can see the different colors. Granite comes in so many patterns that it is hard to keep track of them all. We try to keep our records straight and make sure orders are moving along. It is not a huge space, just enough to get the work done. The traffic around Ranigunj can be a real headache, but that is just part of being in this part of town. We stay busy with the paperwork and the logistics of moving stone from one place to another. It is mostly just making sure the right slabs get to the right people.
