Laxmi Architects & Designers

Our place, Laxmi Architects & Designers, is in Pragathi Nagar, right by the Kukatpally Arch. That arch is a landmark most people in this part of Hyderabad know pretty well, so it makes giving directions a lot easier. We’ve been working out of this spot for a while now. It’s a busy area, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to get to work. The office itself is pretty basic. We have our drawing boards and computers set up where the light is best. It’s not one of those glass buildings you see in Hitech City. It’s more of a local, lived-in feel here. We spend a lot of time looking at plans and talking through different ideas. Sometimes things get a bit messy with papers and blueprints everywhere, but that’s just how we get things done. Being near the arch means there’s always something happening outside. You hear the autos honking and the birds in the trees. It’s a good spot because it’s easy for people to find us without a map. We don't really have a marketing department or anything like that. Most of our days are just spent on the actual work. We like it that way. It’s quiet enough to focus but close enough to the main road to feel connected to the city. It’s a regular life for us here in Kukatpally.
