You can find Excon Instruments at No. 6 2 620 in New Bhoiguda. This part of town is usually pretty loud with all the transport activity and shops nearby. Our place is tucked in among a lot of other small businesses. Inside, it is mostly full of various instruments and tools that we keep on metal racks. The floors are concrete, and they have seen better days, but they hold up under the weight of the heavier equipment. We do not spend money on fancy rugs or bright paint because we are usually too busy working with our hands. Some days are just spent cleaning the parts or checking the dials to make sure things are working right. It gets a bit dusty because of the location, so there is a lot of wiping down surfaces involved in the daily routine. We do not have many chairs, as we are usually on our feet moving things around. When someone comes in, they usually just stand by the counter while we find what they are looking for. It is a very practical space. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the afternoon slump. There is no big sign out front, just the number and the name. We like it this way because it keeps things simple. It is just a regular workshop where we put in the hours and try to stay on top of the pile of work. We handle the repairs and the sales without much fuss or any corporate talk.
