Universal Batteries

Universal Batteries is right at No. 2- 4- 78 M. G. Road, just across from the Uco Bank. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes the noise from the traffic makes it hard to hear the phone ringing. We spend our days surrounded by all kinds of batteries, from the small ones for cars to the big ones for power backups. The shop isn't much for looks, just shelves filled with heavy stock and a workbench that’s seen better days. We’ve got acid stains on the floor and our clothes usually smell a bit like shop work. It’s hard on the back, lifting those heavy units all day, but we’re used to it by now. Being right on M. G. Road means we see a lot of people, even if many are just stuck in traffic outside. We don’t have a fancy waiting area, just a stool if you need to sit while we test your old battery. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use our own backups to keep the lights on, which is a bit funny when you think about it. We’ve been here long enough that most people know where to find us when they’re in a pinch. We just focus on getting the charging done and making sure the inventory is right. It’s not a complicated life, just a lot of heavy lifting and checking meters until it’s time to go home. We just do the work.
