Dhanlakshmi Iron Works

Our shop is over at Door No.5-3-304 in Indira Nagar. Being right on M.G. Road means it gets pretty loud with all the traffic passing by all day. We started Dhanlakshmi Iron Works a while back and the place is usually full of metal scraps and heavy rods. It's not a fancy place at all. The floor is mostly covered in iron dust and we have a few old fans that try to keep the heat down when the sun is hitting the roof. Most days we are just busy moving stuff around or cutting things to size for whoever walks in. It’s hard work on the back but we’re used to it by now. The neighbors around here are alright, we all just do our own thing. Indira Nagar is a busy area so there’s always something happening outside the door. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to move everything inside quickly so the iron doesn't get too rusty. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the heavy stuff. We keep our tools in the back corner and try to keep things somewhat organized, though it doesn't always stay that way. People come by asking for all sorts of iron pieces and we just see what we can find in the stacks. It’s a basic life here on M.G. Road, just working with our hands. Sometimes we have tea while waiting for a delivery. It's just a regular local business on a regular street.
